Creating your Show Info Manual

Creating a Manual

In your FFAIR show portal, creating a comprehensive manual is an essential part of organizing your event efficiently. Here's how you can build and structure your manual:

  • Navigate to the Show Info page, from the left hand menu.

1. Adding Categories:

  • To organize your manual effectively, start by adding categories.
  • Click the "Add Category" button located on the left-hand side of the main body.
  • Enter the title for your category and click "Add."

2. Adding Sections:

  • Within each category, you can add multiple sections to further break down information.
  • Click the blue "+" button on the right-hand side of the screen.
  • Enter the title for your section and choose the category it should fall under.
  • Assign your section to all or specific build types.
  • In the text field, add any relevant information, including descriptions, instructions, or guidelines.
  • You can enhance your sections by adding media, tables, links, or using colored fonts to highlight important details.
  • Click "Save" to add your section to the Show Info
  • Within each category, you can choose the placement of a section by hovering over it, and clicking the Up or Down arrow to move.

3. Set an Exhibitor Welcome Message

You can set any 'section' as a welcome pop - up for your exhibitors. Exhibitors will see this upon log in to their platform, and will have to manually 'x' out of it. This gives you the best chance of them reading it.

  • Use this to relay an inviting welcome message, with event details or you can use it to relay urgent information. This could be something that has changed since you first invited users to the event or it could be date dependent, meaning you can change the message to suit as the event draws closer.
  • To set a section as the 'welcome' pop-up click the Screenshot 2024-04-15 094217 icon to the right of the section header.
  • The icon will change to a blue icon on the active section.
  • Click the blue icon to de-select a section as the pop-up.

If you're including a table, it's best to create it externally using a spreadsheet and then add a screenshot of it to your section or insert it as an image from a graphics package. This helps to avoid formatting errors across different browsers and ensures clarity and consistency.

Utilize media such as images, videos, or documents to enhance the visual appeal and comprehensiveness of your manual.
