Release notes - FFAIR - Version 1.13.9 to 1.14.1

Latest Release Notes 03/2024

We're thrilled to announce the latest updates to our platform, designed to enhance your experience and streamline your workflow!

Here's a breakdown of the improvements and fixes you can expect in this release:

 Improvements:

  • Task Feed Sync Optimisation - You now have the option to sync only completed tasks in your task feed. Filtering out unnecessary clutter from the feed allows you to concentrate on relevant updates, enhancing efficiency and streamlining task management.
  • Enhanced stand size feature by renaming 'Length' to 'Depth' for greater clarity and accuracy in describing stand dimensions.
  • Improved user experience by preventing sub-tasks from collapsing when users click on the expanded sub-task box, ensuring uninterrupted workflow and easier navigation.
  • Streamlined navigation by renaming the 'Online Manual' menu to 'Tasks' for clearer menu labelling and improved usability.
  • Enhanced exhibitor interface by hiding the approval field if not required, reducing clutter and simplifying the user interface for exhibitors.
  • Improved readability and organisation of tasks by adding separators between options in multiple-choice and checkbox task types, enhancing visual clarity and ease of use.
  • Enhanced functionality of check-type tasks to improve user experience and ensure consistent behaviour across the platform.

 New Features:

  • 'In Review' State for Tasks: As an organiser, you now have the ability to move tasks from 'Waiting for Approval' into an 'In Review' state, allowing you to distinguish which tasks you've started to review and providing clarity and organisation in your workflow. Exhibitors also benefit from this information, as they can track the progress of their tasks and understand when they're under review - improving transparency and communication.
  • Task Duration Timer: We've added a timer that shows how long a task has been in either the 'Waiting for Approval' or 'In Review' state. This helps organisers and exhibitors alike to gauge the time taken for each stage of the task lifecycle.
  • Task Status Report: You can now download a comprehensive Task Status Report directly from the Tasks page on the organiser console. This feature enables you to share and analyse important task information outside of the FFAIR platform, streamlining the reporting process and empowering organisers to gain deeper insights into task performance.
  • AED Currency Added: We're thrilled to introduce AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) as a supported currency on our platform! This enhancement not only enables suppliers to list items in AED but also opens up new opportunities for business in the UAE market. Exhibitors can now conveniently purchase items in their local currency, fostering smoother transactions and expanding our platform's reach to the United Arab Emirates. Simplify transactions and enhance user experience with this new currency option.
  • Unarchive previously Archived Exhibitors: We have added a new feature that allows users to unarchive previously archived exhibitors with ease. This enhancement provides greater flexibility and accessibility in managing exhibitor profiles, ensuring that archived exhibitors can be quickly reinstated as needed.
  • Enhanced Task Submission Tracking for Organisers: We’re making tracking task submissions even more efficient by including details on who submitted the task and when it was submitted on the ‘Tasks Review’ page.  This enhancement provides valuable insights into task progress and accountability, streamlining event management processes.
  • Streamlined File Naming Protocol for Exhibitor Uploads: Now, when uploading files, they will be automatically renamed to follow a standardised structure: ExhibitorName-StandNumber-TaskTitle [SubTaskTitle]-++i (where ++i represents the sequence number). This streamlined naming convention improves organisation and clarity, making it easier for Organisers to manage files efficiently within the platform.
  • Paragraph Field Type for Custom Exhibitor Fields: Organisers can now utilise the Paragraph field type, allowing for more versatile and detailed information input. This enhancement enhances flexibility in capturing and conveying information, empowering organisers to customise their exhibitor profiles with comprehensive descriptions and messages.
  • Supplier-Provided Suggested Products: Exciting news for Suppliers! You can now suggest up to three products for exhibitors to purchase alongside any product in your shop. For exhibitors, these suggestions will appear as 'Frequently Bought Together' items when exhibitors view your product details. This enhancement offers greater visibility and promotion for your products, fostering collaboration and boosting sales opportunities between Suppliers and Exhibitors.

For organisers,  when suppliers add recommended products for exhibitors, these suggestions will appear as 'Frequently Bought Together' items when exhibitors view product details. This enhancement aims to enhance sales opportunities and offer additional value-added services to exhibitors.
  • File Upload Limitation for Organisers: Organisers now have the capability to set limits on the number of files allowed for file upload task types. This enhancement enables Organisers to maintain control over data submission processes, ensuring efficiency and organisation within tasks.
  • Individual Exhibitor Setup with Size, Packages, and Custom Fields: You can now add size, packages, and custom fields when creating new Exhibitors individually. This enhancement offers greater flexibility and customisation, allowing Organisers to tailor Exhibitor profiles to specific needs and preferences. Streamline your management process and provide a more personalised experience for your Exhibitors with these new capabilities.
  • Introducing Order and Sales Value Visibility: We're excited to announce that Suppliers can now conveniently track total orders and sales value per show directly from their home page. This enhancement offers immediate insights into sales performance, empowering Suppliers to optimise their strategies and drive success.
