Custom Product Options

The Custom Product Options feature allows suppliers to add flexible configuration choices to their products in the Exhibitor Shop. This is useful when a product has variations (such as power source, size, colour, or add-ons) and exhibitors need to select the option that best suits their needs.

What are Custom Product Options?

Custom Product Options let you create a set of product variations that exhibitors can choose from when ordering. For example:

  • A stand light may have options for LED or Halogen.

  • A power supply may have options for 12V Battery or 24V Battery.

  • A display panel may come in Red, Blue, or Green.

Each option can also include price adjustments, quantities, and images to make ordering clearer.

Step 1: Create Custom Product Options

  1. Go to the Custom Product Options (CPO) tab in your Supplier menu.

  2. Click Add New to create your first option.

    • If none exist yet, you’ll see: “No Custom Product Options yet. Click Add New to create your first Custom Product Option.”

  3. Enter a Title for the option (e.g. Power Source).

  4. Add one or more Options under that title:

    • Option Name (e.g. 12V Battery).

    • Option ID (optional) – this can be used to track specific variations in your orders.

  5. Click Add to add each option to the list.

  6. Once you’re happy, click Save.

.

Step 2: Configure Product Options

Once you’ve created your CPOs, you can assign them to your products:

  1. Open your Products list and click into a product.

  2. Scroll to the Custom Product Options block in the product drawer.

  3. Toggle Enable Custom Product Options to activate.

    • Disabled = product shows in its default state.

    • Enabled = product shows with your configured options.

  4. Click Add Configuration.

  5. In the configuration modal:

    • Choose the option(s) you want to make available.

    • Set Quantity (required).

    • Add a Price Uplift if the option increases the cost.

    • Attach images (optional) to help exhibitors visualise the option.

  6. Save your configuration.

You can create multiple configurations for one product.

How it looks to exhibitors

When exhibitors open your product in the shop:

  • They’ll see your configured options (e.g. colour choices, power sources).

  • They select the one they want before adding the product to their order.

  • Any price uplifts or quantity limits are automatically applied.

  • If only one option exists, it will be preselected by default.

Managing configurations

  • Edit: Update details and save changes.

  • Disable: Hide an option from the shop without deleting it.

  • Remove: Permanently delete an option (confirmation required).

  • Reorder: Adjust the sequence of options as they appear to exhibitors.

  • Duplicates: The system prevents saving an identical configuration twice.

Benefits of CPO

  • Offer more flexibility without creating separate products for every variation.

  • Make it easier for exhibitors to understand and select the right option.

  • Automatically apply correct pricing, surcharges, and stock allocations.

  • Reduce manual work managing product variations.

Next Steps
